What You Need to Know About Fitting Your Chaps
Hot Leathers has been a Main Street business for over 20 years. That's why local riders, like me, have purchased jackets, chaps, and boots from Hot Leathers. One of the store's top selling items is leather chaps. It's important to have your riding gear fitted by an experienced professional, which you'll find any day of the week at Hot Leathers.

I recently stopped by Hot Leathers looking for a new pair of chaps. I have purchased chaps from Hot Leathers previously and have been happy with them (and happy to have them every time I wore them). This time I was looking for chaps of heavier weight.

Store owner Chuck took one look at me and picked a pair of chaps that fit perfectly. I guess fitting men and women of all ages, shapes and sizes for 20 years gives you the ability to "size" people up quickly.

Chuck explained that the width of the thigh is really what determines the size of chap you need. The waist and length are all easily adjustable.  Here are a few more tips from Chuck about fitting and wearing your chaps:

·         It is ok to get chaps that fit snugly because the leather will stretch with wear.

·         Wear your chaps below your belt, not above.

·         Chaps are made long and are cut to fit once you've found just the right pair.

·         The length should be half an inch off the floor.

Hot Leather's chaps range in price from $49.95 up to $100.00. That's a price all year round, which does not change during bike events. In addition to their store on Main Street, Hot Leathers will have additional locations during Bike Week at Daytona International Speedway and the Cabbage Patch.
